Changes to NWHS Website Coming Soon!

Many things are happening with the NWHS Magazine. We’re in the midst of a website move upgrading to a newer more up-to-date system. Over the weekend you may notice some downtime as we transfer domains and get the system back up and running.

The new site will offer a much better search for information, more pictures, author bios and more fun stuff like video, featured ads and an upgraded business and club directory.

Our article archives will be pretty small but hang in there. I’m working away at adding pictures, sorting through years of data to restore issue dates and more great news. It’s been an exciting process to wade through past articles and reacquaint myself with the monthly articles. I feel so privileged to have worked in this industry for nearly 15 years. What a journey down memory lane!

Needless to say it’s been work, eat, sleep and get up and do it all over again. My horses think I’ve lost interest.

When I arrived home from work this evening I went to get my mare and turn her out to graze for a few minutes. I looked at the tangled mess her mane is in. She has a beautiful long mane that hangs down to her chest. Recent back problems have stopped me from braiding her mane and the time it takes to do it. I long for relaxing time to just brush my horses and hang out.

Even thought it’s a drag to be so busy I love what I do. Life always brings challenges to make sure we’re paying attention. If everything was always smooth sailing I don’t believe we’d learn much, grow or appreciate what we have. The things we fight for seem to be a sweeter victory that things that just come easy.

So I’m enjoying the journey and looking for the lessons!
